Music video picks 2

After last month’s review every two days feature to celebrate 5 years and 1 month of this blog, I have been a little lazy. And I did promise another surprise for August. I have an idea of what it will be, and it is still to come! In the meantime, some more music video picks to get a new post up! BUT first, in case you missed any of last months reviews, here they are in descending order!

#15 The Beatles – Please Please Me
#14 Lykke Li – Wounded Rhymes
#13 Rihanna – all six album cover reviews!
#12 Tune-Yards – Whokill
#11 Nicola Roberts – Cinderella’s Eyes
#10 Katy Perry – Teenage Dream (only the non-singles!)
#9 Wilco – Yankee… Radiohead – Kid A
#8 Elvis Costello – This Year’s Model
#7 Lagwagon – A Feedbag of Truckstop Poetry EP
#6 Corinna Rose – Corinna Rose EP
#5 Caitlin Rose – Columbia Hotel EP
#4 The Gaslight Anthem – Sink or Swim
#3 Ida Maria – Katla
#2 Lana Del Rey – Born to Die deluxe edition
#1 Oh Land – Oh Land

Alanis Morissette – Guardian

New Alanis Morissette, what else is there to say! Her new album, Havoc and Bright Lights, sees a release August 28!

Nelly Furtado – Big Hoops (Bigger The Better) :

Some more Canadian music to look forward to! I was a little surprised to see Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins produced it, along with most of the songs from the new album! He has quietly been keeping busy!

The Spirit Indestructible, September 14!

Nero – Me And You:

Over the last year or so I have been getting more and more into dubstep. This one is fairly slow, but still cool, as it incorporates some almost 8-bit sounding bass wobbles to coincide with the video! Nero are composed of Dan Stephens, Joe Ray and vocalist Alana Watson (no more Oxford comma!). It is nice that they have a female vocalist as part of their group!

P!nk – Blow Me (One Last Kiss):

Every since her debut single, “There You Go”, back in 2000, I can safely call myself a fan, doing pop music her way. The Truth About Love, her new album is released September 18, just shy of four years after Funhouse.

Mastodon – Black Tongue:

Finally, some heavier stuff to end with, sludge metal to be precise! This may not be an actually music video, in that I have no idea if it was submitted to whatever music video channel, or TV channel in general to be aired, but it is cool nonetheless. The making of the sculpture that would be the album cover for their latest, The Hunter.

Next such post, independent music videos you HAVE to check out! Requests? I may take them into consideration! Tweet me!

First Music video picks post.

Check out an actual Mastodon video from their new album!
